The spindle is equipped with two inductive sensors. The first sensor reports on the axial travel of the spindle if the brush is in contact to a surface. This allows the robot to adjust its movement automatically and guarantees a steady contact of the brush on the surface over the complete brush life cycle.
The second sensor reports the maximum axial travel of the spindle. This protects the tool from a crash. The sensors make programming easier and avoid process failures and downtime of the system.
