Die casting produces parts that are dimensionally stable and durable, while maintaining close tolerances. Castings are also heat resistant.

🍀Strength and Weight
The die casting process is suited for thin wall parts, which reduce the weight, while maintaining strength. Also, die casting can incorporate multiple components into one casting, eliminating the need for joining or fasteners. This means that the strength is that of the alloy rather than the joining process.

Fanuc SCARA robots, equipped with Fanuc’s iRVision and ESS-designed end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) to collate more than 160 cosmetic tubes/min for feeding to a case packer. Named the TaskMate Robotic Systems® high-speed SCARA robotic collation cell, the system can also handle pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, consumer goods, and medical devices. 💫

In the tube collation application, a camera above the flat-belt conveyor provides the robots with the location of the tubes as they enter the robotic cell. ESS used the software to program the three robots to pick tubes from a moving flat-belt conveyor, correctly orient the tubes, and progressively load the case packer’s infeed indexing timing belt conveyor. Tubes not picked by the first or second robot are picked by the third, allowing the infeed system to orient and place over 160 tubes/min. 💥

Instead of one tech cleaning a carburetor using a can of spray cleaner, he can throw six carburetors, or other parts, into the ultrasonic cleaner tank, press a button and go do something else for half an hour. When he comes back the parts are spotless and ready to be assembled. Not only can you clean more parts with less labor, you can clean the hard stuff — carbon on piston tops for instance. 💯

What is ''Robot''

Robots play prominent roles in every industrial field including welding, handling, assembly, and painting, as well as handling, and transfer, etc., in clean rooms for liquid crystal and organic EL displays, semiconductor manufacturing, and so on.

The purpose of an industrial robot is to repeat over and over the action of ''quickly and efficiently moving generic tools which are appropriate for a particular task to the location for that task''.

For example, in an arc welding operation, a welding torch (tool) attached to the tip of a robot (manipulator) is required to move quickly and accurately to the welding site from the start of the welding work to the position at the finish while instructions are given to the welding device.

As for handling work, a tool for picking up items that is attached to the tip of a robot (manipulator) is given instructions to move to the site where the items to be moved are placed, pick them up, and move them to a designated spot where the tool releases them in a prompt and precise manner.
