Laser cutting uses a high power laser which is directed through optics and computer numerical control (CNC) to cut different materials for both industrial and more artistic application. The laser beam burns, melts, vaporises or is blown away by a jet of gas to leave high quality surface finished edge.
The laser is created when the electrons in the atoms become excited so it moves from a lower energy orbit to higher energy orbit around the atom's nucleus. Then when return to their ground state (normal state) the electrons will emit photons(particle of light)
